朝鲜文 Language and Culture 1级

Introduces both the spoken and written language. Upon completion of this course, students should expect to be able to engage in simple conversations about everyday activities as well as to read and write the complete 朝鲜文 syllabary. Proper pronunciation and the development of conversational proficiency are strongly emphasized. Grammatical topics include demonstratives, honorifics and the humble form, 代词, 疑问词, 否定, descriptive and action verbs, 复数标记, 不规则动词, 和连词.

朝鲜文 Language and Culture 2级

After completing 2级, students can expect to be able to make requests, ask for assistance and discuss their daily schedule of activities. Building upon the basic foundation provided in 1级, topics include expressions of time and date, 疑问词, 数字, present and past formal tenses, the polite informal style, future tense markers, conjunctions and plural forms. Listening skills and proper pronunciation continue to be strongly emphasized.

Since communication in a foreign language requires an understanding of the cultural context, our aim is to teach you the living language through carefully selected textbooks, newspaper and magazine articles and other relevant materials, rather than have you repeat and memorize tourist phrases.

Over the past thirty years, we have reviewed many 朝鲜文 textbooks and have selected 朝鲜文 Language for a Good Job 1 (Darakwon Press) as the one that best fulfills the objectives of our students. Teachers provide suggestions for texts and supplementary materials at the higher levels. Books may be purchased online at Hanbooks.com.

学费 for the 朝鲜文 program at all levels is $499. There is a non-refundable $35 registration fee for first-time students only.

In addition to our core program, we offer immersion programs which cover levels 1 to 5 of our core program in 6 weeks (4 weeks in Summer). 学费 for the immersion program is $2,495.
